Professional Representation

Once you have prepared your case, whether you are bringing a Claim or Defending one, we can represent you at the Court. It is, of course, possible for you to represent yourself and many people do and you should not be intimidated about doing so.

However, for those of you who find the idea of having to speak to the judge and cross examine the other side’s witnessess daunting, we will take the stress out of the process for you. All of our advocates have trained as barristers and are used to court procedure and language, cross examining witnesses, understanding the law surrounding your case and dealing with last minute matters that often arise in these types of cases.

Once you have completed your witness statements, send us a copy of all of the statements (including the other side’s) as well as the supporting documentation. Our advocates will read all the papers in the case, research any of the law required and will then meet you an hour before the hearing to discuss any last minute matters that you have.

If your case has been listed for 2 hours or less, we charge a flat rate fee of £350 plus VAT for representation at that hearing. Even if the start of the hearing is delayed, you will still pay the same one off fee.

The advantages of professional representation:

(1) having someone who knows the court system and procedure,

(2) having someone who knows the law,

(3) having someone who is objective,

(4) having someone who knows the best way to put your case,

(5) having someone who knows how to cross examine witnesses,

(6) the process is less stressful,

(7) you are more likely to win your case with professional representation (although we can’t guarantee you’ll win!).

The disadvantage is that you have to pay for it, unfortunately! Even if you do not use our services, we hope that you find our website useful and informative.
